Additional Information

General Information

  • We have tried to consider the best options for your holiday and offer the weeks from Tuesday (arrival 16.00 onwards) to Tuesday (departure no later than 10.00).   Other days may be available depending on bookings so please don’t hesitate to contact us.
  • As well as our specialist ‘Songbird’ weeks, we welcome typical holiday lets and you can find more information at www.lebasboulay.com
  • We are able to hire equipment that you need. Please let us know in advance what you will require and we will be able to inform you of any additional cost.
  • The use of all bed linen, towels (one hand and one bath towel per person) and tea towels are included in the price.   Please note that we request that you supply your own beach / swimming towels. We also require that you provide bed linen and any necessary protectors for those with known night-time incontinence.   We feel this is a more suitable arrangement than charging a bed linen deposit.
  • An inventory will be found in each apartment.

  • Holiday insurance (see links page for organisations to help you with this)
  • A European Health Insurance Card (see links page for further information)

Driving in France

Here are a few brief guidelines for driving in France. (Please go to the useful links page to find sites that will give you more detailed information.)

  • Driving is on the right. Bear this in mind for roundabouts and when at junctions.
  • Speed limits:
    - In town 50km/h or less (31mph)
    - Other roads 90km/h – 80km/h when wet (56mph – 50mph)
    - Dual carriageways 110km/h – 100km/h when wet (69mph – 62mph)
    - Motorways 130km/h – 110km/h when wet (81mph – 68mph)
  • Motorways are called Autoroutes. 24 hour service stations can be found on these approximately every 40 kms.
  • Péages (Toll Booths) – on the motorways these are privately owned networks. Take a ticket when you enter a particular network and pay as you are leaving it. You can pay in cash (Euros) or card. Look for the symbol above each cash desk to identify which you require.
  • Aires – are areas on roads where you can pull off the main road and find facilities such as toilets, picnic areas and sometimes more comprehensive services.
  • The minimum age for driving in France is 18.
  • The use of a seatbelt is compulsory.

Passports and Visas

Full UK and EU passports are currently valid in France and are required. At the time of writing, holders of these passports do not need visas.
